Projekti eesmärk on maandada Eesti riskipiirkondades üleujutustest tingitud võimalikke kahjulikke tagajärgi ning tõsta üleujutusohuga seonduvat teadlikkust ja tegutsemispädevust.
Projekti tulemusena luuakse üleujutusohu ennetamiseks ja leevendamiseks veetaseme ja äkksadude jälgimis-, prognoosimis- ja hoiatussüsteemid, mis pikemas perspektiivis aitavad suurendada vastupanuvõimet kliimamuutustele. Projekt hõlmab uuringuid parimate ennetusmeetmete valikuks riskipiirkondades ning üleujutusohu ennetamiseks tehtavat teavitustegevust.
